Simply put, it is our way of saying Thank You to our members for making this site better and more useful for the amateur astronomy community. You contribute reviews to the site, you earn reward points, you qualify for prize drawings and discounts - everyone wins!
> How do I accumulate Reward Points?
You earn 25 reward points for every product review you contribute to this site. You can view your accumulated points and discounts in your user profile at any time.
> What are the points/discounts useful for?
Reward points are useful in many ways:
- Points every user earns within a given week are like raffle entries. Each point gets you one raffle entry in the prize drawings. The more points you accumulate, the more entries you have in the drawing and the greater your chances are of winning a weekly prize.
- The user with the highest number of reviews and, hence, points in a given calendar month wins our monthly grand prize, courtesy of one of our sponsors.
- For each approved review you submit, you also earn a discount coupon good for $3 off any purchase of $30 at least at Agena AstroProducts.
- The greater the number of points you accumulate, the higher is your standing in our community. Top contributors are recognized at various places throughout the site.
> Why should I do this?
This site presents a wealth of objective, unbiased information to amateur astronomers interested in checking out products before purchasing them. Our goal is to complement - not compete with - other review sites. But it can only be as good as you make it. This site will cease to exist if you do not contribute and make it better for yourself and others. Agena AstroProducts provided the launch pad; Sponsors provide the fuel; But you all will have to command and pilot this baby to even greater heights!
